JGR presented a family friendly, fun competition where teams of 4 people built assemblages in a competition similar to “Cake Wars.”
Recycled items to build the assemblage were provided.
Assemblages will be auctioned and proceeds will go to help fund our youth activities

It was our vision to have a new, family friendly event that would be a "fun" fundraiser where everyone could participate. It was absolutely amazing to see the assemblages come together and how all the teams worked together. The first and second place teams were The Organics (Behrends Mechanical) and UAS--Women in Construction. This fundraiser was dedicated to the youth programs the Juneau-Gastineau Rotary Club supports and was exemplified by the cool thing that happened...both teams donated their prizes to the team that placed 3rd, the Juneau Exchange Students. Supporting Youth Activities and Programs has long been at the heart of this Club's activities. Here are just a few we support:

Auke Bay Elementary Playground Equipment, Riverbend School Playground Equipment, Family Day at the Lake, Zach Gordon Youth Center Upgrades, After School Coalition Sponsorship, Sponsoring Youth Exchange Students, Sponsoring local students for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Lena Point Park Dugouts, West Juneau & Bonnie Brae Children’s Parks, Youth Scholarships and Recognition.
