The Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club donates $5000 to the Mat-Su YMCA to begin the youth services program to the community.
Ms. Kennedy, president of the Rotary, stated, “These funds were left to the Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club by the late Mayor of Wasilla and Rotarian Harold Newcomb.   He entrusted the Rotary Club to continue to look for valuable youth projects worthy of our investment.”   She also continued, “ Dr. Jim Martin, Rotarian and Kerri Pittman have worked hard to help a need for more youth services in the community.  We wish to do what we can to help initiate the YMCA program. Rotary tries to make a better community and better world.”  
The Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club meets Tuesday mornings at 7:00am in the Meridian Point Building on the Seward-Meridian Parkway.
