William "Bill" Gale Holman, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 9, 2018 in Enumclaw, Washington.
Bill was born on May 8, 1933 in Tacoma, Washington to Inga (Shelstad) Holman and Charles Holman.  He married Marlene Chesley in 1957 Burlington, Washington. 
Bill and Marlene moved to Ketchikan with their three children in 1972 where they lived until 2000 when they moved to Shelton, Washington to be closer to their grandchildren. 
Bill was a friendly, outgoing, funny and gentle man who was especially proud of his service as an enlisted man in the Navy during the Korean War and as a longtime member of the Rotary Club which selected him to be their Governor for the Alaska/Yukon District in 1991.  Bill was also a charter member of Ketchikan First City Rotary back in 1988. He and his wife also attended the District Conference in 2013 the year it was held in Ketchikan, and gave a short inspiring speech. 
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; a sister, Mary; his children: Mike (Donna) Holman of Ketchikan, Becky (Rick) Durkin of Enumclaw, Washington; Curt (Tammi) Holman of Concrete, Washington and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
