"A View Forward" A Discussion Among District 5010's Leaders" will occur on February 5th and 6th, 2010 at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage! This year's meeting will start at 10 am on Friday and conclude by 5pm on Saturday and will include lunch and dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. We really need your input!

Please plan to attend. Also, please complete the survey that was sent at the beginning of the week (the final day to complete it is Sunday). The link for the survey is below in
English: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB22A3Z6J96DA
and in Russian: www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB22A3Z6X96M8

Please send me an e-mail to let me know if you are planning to attend. If you are only planning to attend one or both days, I would appreciate that as well.

A View Forward includes lunch and dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday (breakfast Saturday is on your own). The District will ask all those attending to contribute approximately half of the cost of the food, or $40. This will be collected at the event. Unfortunately, due to limited budget, expense reimbursement for attendance is not possible.

If you have already sent an RSVP you do not need to send it to me again. If not, and you plan to attend, please let me know no later than Friday, January 29th. This meeting is mandatory for District leaders for 2010-2011.

Alaska Airlines Discount Alaska Airlines is offering a 7% discount off of any fare to travel to this event. Our discount code is CMB1348 and you must call Alaska Air when making your reservation to get the discount. The fare is good from February 4-7 into Anchorage. Thanks to Rotarian Sharon Gaiptman of Juneau Rotary Club for putting this together for us!

Agenda The planning committee is still working on the final agenda for this event. However, this event is intended for both current District Leaders and Rotarians who are interested in becoming District leaders or are otherwise interested in the future direction of our District. We cover issues the District is facing (Russia, Membership, finances, club support, etc.) and training coordination between the clubs and District. It is a little bit strategic planning and a little bit training.
